The 5th Hong Kong Brands and Products Shopping Festival kicked off today at AsiaWorld-Expo, running until August 4th.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Hong Kong Brands and Products Shopping Festival, with more than 300 booths and eight themed zones offering a wide range of products from food to entertainment and shopping.
Many exhibitors offer substantial discounts, drawing crowds of shoppers with bags filled. Some even have 1 dollar specials.
"We are just coming here to buy some snacks," said resident Jasey. "For example, the Chinese sausage. I just saw that I can use 1 dollar to redeem 100 (dollars) coupon."
The ''Hometown Flavors Zone'' is set up for the first time, bringing products from 10 regions, including Sichuan, Xinjiang, and Heilongjiang, allowing visitors to experience the diverse tastes of the mainland in one place.
Mainland vendor Sissi said: "Jiangsu people all know crab food, but not all Hong Kong people know it, I believe Hong Kong is a high-quality market, all people like high-quality products, It's a very great chance to show (our food) to Hong Kong."
To make it more convenient for the public, the shopping festival offers free shuttle buses.
To attract mainland and international visitors, tourists holding valid travel documents will enjoy free admission to this shopping festival.
