Arsenal arrive in Hong Kong

Arsenal have arrived in Hong Kong ahead of taking on north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the city tomorrow.

Some of their top players met with local fans and tourists this morning.

Having arrived in Hong Kong last night, Arsenal players Declan Rice, Gabriel Martinelli, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Magalhaes met with fans this morning.

Hundreds of fans in Arsenal kits broke into chants of Arsenal songs, to cheer for the famous English club.

As they prepare for the first overseas North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal players are also soaking up the city's passion for football.

MIKEL MERINO, Arsenal Midfielder: "It's my first time in Hong Kong, so I'm already feeling the love and support from everybody, thank you very much."

DECLAN RICE, Arsenal Midfielder: "It's a massive fixture for us, so we wanna win. Because in the last few games against Tottenham we won, and we wanna keep that going."

During the event, Arsenal players shared handwritten messages of support

DECLAN RICE, Arsenal Midfielder: "I wrote 'I Love HK.'"

ADRIANO: "I hope they can stay a little bit longer, cause we got so many Arsenal die-hard fans in Hong Kong, so we want them to stay, cause we loved them!"

Some fans came from the mainland.

Mr. ZHAN: "The Kai Tak field, the new field feels very good.I've already watched the league game, I feel that the players are close to me in 5 meters, it's very cool.

Arsenal football club have a lot of fans in Hong Kong and around the world. Their visit to the city is not just a boost to Hong Kong's sports scene, but also to other sectors as well.
