The Centre for Food Safety says a type of Australian-imported spicy salami, distributed by ParkNShop supermarket, might have been contaminated with salmonella and has urged the public not to consume the product.
The product in question is this 80-gram salami from Primo with the affected batch marked for consumption on or before September 9th this year.
ParkNShop has removed the product from sale though other salami products under the same brand remain available.
The Centre for Food Safety issued the recall alert after receiving a notification from the Singapore Food Agency through its Food Incident Surveillance System over the product's possible salmonella contamination.
