The Black, Red and Amber rainstorm warning signals were issued this morning, with the heavy rain causing flooding in many areas of Hong Kong.

A "waterfall" appeared on the hillside of Yiu Hing Road in Shau Kei Wan. The same location experienced a landslide and fallen boulders during the "rainstorm of the century" in September of 2023, leading to a months-long road closure for cleanup and stabilization.

At the Chai Wan Road roundabout, flooding reached calf height, forcing passing vehicles to wade through the water.

Tai Tam Road in Southern District of Hong Kong Island was flooded due to heavy rain.

Island Road, connecting Wong Chuk Hang and Repulse Bay, was severely congested due to the heavy rain.
