The standby tropical cyclone signal No.1 is in force. The tropical depression in the South China Sea is forecast to move northwest towards the vicinity of Leizhou Peninsula. Its threat to Hong Kong will decrease gradually in the afternoon. Hong Kong Observatory will consider cancelling all tropical cyclone warning signals between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
