The Hong Kong government raised the travel alert for Israel and Iran to Black last week.

Chief Executive John Lee said 20 out of 21 Hong Kongers had left the two countries.

But he also said the war will not affect the city's efforts to conduct business with Middle East countries.

Chief Executive John Lee said, "as of June 23, the Immigration Department has received enquiries from 21 Hong Kong residents who were in Israel or Iran. Twenty of them have already departed safely. The Department will continue to maintain close contacts with the remaining one Hong Kong resident and provide appropriate assistance."

Meanwhile, housing authorities had earlier terminated contracts for the building of three public housing estates with Aggressive Construction Company, which was linked to several fatal industrial accidents.

John Lee admitted it will affect housing supply but stressed that the authorities can handle the changes.

Anthony Chiu, executive director of the Federation of Public Housing Estates, believes the company's suspension order would lead to longer waiting times for public housing, with 6,200 units involved in total.
