Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Downing Street on Monday, seeking to shore up more military support.
Hours before Zelenskyy arrived in London, Russian forces launched a fresh round of air raids on Ukraine that killed at least 14 civilians.
Starmer and Zelenskyy met with Operation Interflex troops charged with training Ukrainian soldiers.
The Ukrainian leader gave thanks for U.K. support and said the occasion of their meeting was "a historic moment."
The two countries have agreed an industrial military cooperation agreement by co-producing long-range drones. Zelenskyy said the main objective is to save lives and "stop Russian terror."
The landmark deal, which covers the next three years, is expected to "harness Ukraine's battlefield innovation and combining it with British industrial strength" and benefit both nations economically and strategically.
