Qatar thwarts Iran attack on U.S. airbase, Israel strikes Tehran's Evin prison

Qatar said it condemned and successfully thwarted an Iranian attack on a U.S. military base in Doha.

This as Israel stepped up its strikes in Iran, blowing open the gates of Tehran's notorious Evin prison, which is known for holding political activists.

Meanwhile, Iranian troops fired ballistic missiles in retaliation to U.S. strikes and devastated an apartment building inside Tel Aviv. NBC reports.
