Elderly health care voucher scheme to extend to Zhuhai

Starting from Thursday, elderly Hong Kong residents will be able to use health care vouchers for medical services at two more hospitals in Zhuhai.
The two hospitals -- the Fifth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University and Zhuhai People's Hospital -- will soon accept vouchers.
Eligible elderly people can use the vouchers to pay for outpatient services, but not for inpatient services, day surgery procedures, nor solely for medication.
Altogether, the Guangdong-Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area will have 11 medical institutions where elderly health care vouchers are accepted, benefiting more than 1.78 million people.
