Couple use AirPod tracking function to track down robbers

A couple made use of the tracking function in their stolen AirPods to track down several men in Yau Ma Tei who earlier robbed them at Kowloon Peak.
The police are tracking down three male suspects of South Asian descent.
The couple arrived at a scenic location on Kowloon Peak at around 3 a.m. when the 27-year-old husband was ambushed by three men armed with knives.
The robbers took his bag containing some 30,000 dollars, identification documents, a pair of AirPods and other personal items before fleeing in a car.
Using the headphones' tracking function, the couple managed to track down the robbers to Pitt Street in Yau Ma Tei before encountering them on Canton Road, where the three men managed to escape.
The husband notified the police after the incident.
Authorities said they are tracking down three suspects aged between 20 and 30 years old.
