Second case of mpox in one week

The city reported another case of monkeypox, marking the second one this week.
According to the Centre for Health Protection, the case involved a 28-year-old man.
He developed skin ulcers and sore throat on Monday and went to a clinic under the Department of Health in Yau Ma Tei on Wednesday and is currently in stable condition in isolation at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Preliminary investigation revealed that he had high-risk exposure in Hong Kong during the incubation period.
Authorities said that since 2022, a total of 77 cases of monkeypox have been reported in Hong Kong. Of which nine cases have been recorded this year, and all cases are male.
