Xi lands in Kazakhstan for China-Central Asia Summit

President Xi Jinping has landed in Astana, capital city of Kazakhstan, to attend the second China-Central Asia Summit aimed at bolstering economic and political ties.
Upon his arrival on his charter flight, Xi was greeted by his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with a welcome ceremony.
The top-level summit, which runs from Monday through Wednesday, will gather the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan for discussions on the development of the China-Central Asia mechanism, mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework, as well as global and regional hotspots.
Xi is expected to deliver a keynote speech at the event.
