The Hong Kong Observatory cancelled all Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals at 3:40 p.m., replacing it with the Strong Monsoon Signal.
The weather forecaster said tropical cyclone Wutip continued to move away from the city.
There will be occasional heavy showers over the coast of Guangdong, under the influence of a southwesterly airstream.
Hong Kong will also experience occasional strong winds for the rest of the day.
