Strong Wind Signal No. 3 takes effect

The Strong Wind Signal No. 3 is in force.
The Observatory says the strong winds associated with Wutip will affect the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary for the rest of today and Sunday morning.
According to the present forecast track, Wutip will move across the vicinity of the boundary of Guangdong-Guangxi and will skirt around 300 kilometres to the northwest of Hong Kong on Sunday morning.
The Strong Wind Signal No. 3 will remain in force at least until Sunday's noon.
The Observatory says the chance of issuing the Signal No.8 is low unless Wutip maintains a higher intensity over inland areas and adopts a track closer to the Pearl River Estuary.
