Tropical cyclone signal no.3 is issued in Macao. According to the Meteorological and Geophysial Bureau, tropical storm Wutip located in the central part of the South China Sea, is moving northwest towards Hainan Island, and has been intensifing. Under the combined influence of a high-pressure ridge, the wind on the bridges is currently reaching force 6 persistently. Moreover, due to the influence of the outer rainband of Wutip, the wind will persist for a period of time.
Its impact on Macao will be significant from late Friday to early Sunday, with frequent heavy showers and thunderstorms. A substantial amount of cumulative rainfall may lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
Classes of primary, infrant and special education are suspended today.
