Several injured when plane nosegear accidentally retracted

A number of Lufthansa employees were injured when a Boeing 787's nose gear unexpectedly retracted

at Frankfurt airport on Thursday.

The incident happened before passengers were set to board the plane to Los Angeles.

Only crew members and ground staff were on board the German airliner when the accident occured.

The company said it and relevant authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
