12-year-old boy arrested over alleged attempts to make bombs

A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempts to make explosives.

He also allegedly filmed the process and posted it online.

Police seized a laptop computer, a mobile phone, a bottle of liquid and a gas mask.

Police say they received tip-offs on Monday about the social media post.

After investigations, police tracked down a 12-year-old secondary one student underneath a bridge in Tseung Kwan O on Sunday.

He was undertaking the bomb-making experiment at the time.

Reportedly, all ingredients were gathered from home.

Police say it will look into the boy's motive and if he has any accomplices.
