Police arrested two mainland suspects after a series of burglaries at a residential building in Tsuen Wan, where two units lost about 6,000 dollars in cash.
The incidents took place at a residential building, where scaffolding and netting had been set up for major renovation works.
Police received a report last Tuesday and, after reviewing CCTV footage, identified a man and a woman. They were arrested yesterday in Ta Kwu Ling and Lok Ma Chau, a 52-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman, both from mainland China.
Police believe the male suspect disguised himself as a construction worker, climbed the scaffolding, and broke into vacant flats by forcing open window grilles, while the female suspect acted as a lookout.
Both are now detained for investigation.
