With Valentines' Day and the Lunar New Year falling back-to-back, residents flocked to the Mong Kok Flower Market to pick up their bouquets.

One florists noted that orders are up 20 percent compared to last year.

Meanwhile, the dinning sector is feeling a different kind of pressure.

A restaurant is offering a Valentine's set priced at 1,888 dollars, inclusive of a bouquet to entice customers.

Despite being fully booked, the owner expressed concern that consumers may be tightening their belts for the New Year festivities.
